Rosie is a 40 pound, 3-year old lab mix. She is golden brown in color with some brindle and the most beautiful eyes that speak to you. 

 

Our sweet Rosie was discovered In La Paz, Mexico and was protecting her four 5 week old pups on the edge of a dirt road and living in an old refrigerator. Luckily two foster homes were found and Rosie was flown up to San Diego three weeks later.  Her pups will be here soon. 

 

Rosie is a treasure.  She has a very laid back, gentle, personality and is perfect around cats, dogs, babies, children of all ages and  adults, both men and women. She is very affectionate and would love to be in a home where she can give and receive attention and even sleep with a cat!

 

She loves to go for her "walkie, walkie"  and prefers to do "her business" on her walks.  She is housebroken.  She is learning to eat kibble and not just beans and rice and corn tortillas!!  She does love her dried chicken treats and has learned to sit and get a treat after a "good sit". She understands the words NO and STAY.  She does not try and escape and loves to ride in the car.  She is very quick to learn and walks well on the leash and stops for a few sniffs on the way.

 

She does love to sleep on the bed or a couch or her dog bed and sleeps right through the night.  Rosie is not a barker but has been heard to bark if she deems it necessary.

 

Our foster cannot say enough good things about Rosie as she is such a wonderful companion dog. Unfortunately the foster travels more than 6 months of the year and Rosie would be great in a family with children and getting lots of love and hugs.
