I'm KC, a puppy of 12 months who ended up with no home. I don't know exactly what happened but not that long ago I found myself lost and afraid in a desert arroyo. I was hiding in the bushes for days, hungry and thirsty but too afraid to venture far. One day I came upon a house that had a bucket of water so I lapped up the biggest drink of my life. The next day I found a pile of dog food awaiting me in the same place. One thing led to another and these kind people said I could stay in their yard where I felt safe and loved.

 

I confess, I still wolf down my food like there will never be another meal but my foster parents are patient. I have an older furry friend here that I love to tease and harass. Confidentially, I think she will be happy when I find my forever home so that she can sleep the day away without my playful puppy-ness. Oh, and I love to chew on bones or soft chew toys and I'm not above stealing the occasional sock - I am a puppy after all. Did I mention that I'm cute too? I've got this adorable stumpy-tail-thing going on that just ups the cuteness factor. Don't ask, I have no idea how that happened.

 

My foster parents say I'm a quick learner and very obedient when told to change my behavior. I come when I'm called and love to go for walks. I'm a curious creature who likes to investigate new noises and can often be found right beside my foster dad's workbench while he works on projects. I'm house trained by day and sleep in a crate at night for now, just in case. I don't whine or cry and am not a barker unless a stranger approaches the property. I love to meet new people and am gentle with children. As far as I'm concerned, anyone that will scratch my belly is a friend for life! So far everybody says I'm a keeper and I couldn't agree more!

 

I have my poncho packed and am ready to go at a moment's notice.

 

KC is vaccinated, microchip and spayed.
